What if Aliens Looked Exactly Like Us?

Updated: Jun 6, 2024

Wading through the tall grass fields and swampy forests, millions of light years away from Home Sweet Home (Planet Earth), a human-like creature was eating, speaking, talking, and doing all the things humans would do the same way. But, what if this is actually real? Currently, there are 6 billion planets similar to Earth - in context to it's chemical make up and there's 2 trillion galaxies in the world. Do some simple math, and there's a shit ton of possible Earth-like planets. This leads us to a century old paradox that people get existential risks over.

The Fermi Paradox

The Fermi Paradox is the "scary" discrepency of the lack of evidence of extraterrestrial life and the baffling likelihood that we would find aliens. Aliens that look like green, blob-like monsters where it's head and eyes are bigger than it's lower body coming to Earth through advanced aircraft (UFOs.) Either we don't have any friends and we're truly alone, aliens are communicating with this but, we can't hear it, or aliens are in existence and they don't know we exist either. All possibilities sound crazy, but the reason for not having "extraterrestrial freinds," is extremely funny. Earth as a unitary being not having a friend to play with on the metaphorical playground.

That would be us and another alien civilization, if we didn't "purposefully" nuke their species and if we didn't have a war in the future. I wonder, can humanity be depressed since we don't have any friends? Some might say, yes and others will say no. For those who say yes, touch grass and for those who said the correct answer no, you're proactive. Good job! Now, if you did do something what would you do? You would create a spacecraft that can bend the fabric of space time formally known as the Alcubierre warp drive or as I say,"Make-some-friends-that are-potentially-dangerous transportation system." Unfortunately, we're a little bit too stupid to do cool stuff like that, for now at least the only time we can see it is when we're rewatching Star Trek for the millionth time. Some context?

Kardashev Scale or "Why are we so un-civilized?"

The ranking of the scale was used to measure the civilizational devlopment and technological advancement based on the energy efficiency and created by the brilliant Russian scientist Shkala Kardasheva. Basically, and he was asking the simple question, can we do sci-fi stuff? Currently, we're at 0.72 on the scale, I which sucks. I know I know, "One small step for humankind, one hundreth of a decimal place for humanity." An easy way to measure this scale is what energy we can harness. For instance, a Type 1 civilization can harness all of it's planet's energy, similarly a Type 2 civilization can harness everything in it's solar system - inlcuding it's Sun. A controversial idea to reach a Type 2 civilization is to create a Dyson Sphere - an orbiting nucleaur-harnessing Death Star cut into multiple rings.

Death Star from Star Wars

A Type 3 civilization can harness the energy of it's whole solar system, spoiler alert by now we probably have spacecraft that's so advanced that we can travel the solar system. Kind of like a very big Uber. The rest goes on and on, Type 4 harness galaxy, Type 5 harness the universe, Type 6 harnesses the multiverse, if it exists according to String Theory, check out my posts to learn more about that - and so on. However, there's something that's super interesting... Type 70 Civilization harness energy so powerful to create a simulation to run a universe. This paradox is also known as Simulation Theory.

Simulation Theory

The belief that we're gears in a larger system, where we're "run" for some apparent reason - pun intended. Most definetly, through quantum computing systems. The reasoning for this idea - most popularly held by the infamous Mr. Musk, is because as the computing power becomes more and more advanced - in relation to simulation tech and virtual reality technology, reality itself becomes distinguishable from everything else. That leads humanity to the question, "Do we truly exist?"

DOGECOIN!!!

Quantum Computers?

There are currently, two types of computers; quantum computers and normal bit computers. Quantum computers do something that normal computers don't do. They have a special phenomena called a qubit, that's different from the tradition bit of binary of 0s and 1s. But, in a qubit, the bit is both a 1 and 0 at the same time - a phenomena known as the superposition of particles of mutliple states at once until measured. This superposition quality gives the quantum computers a large computing power to run tedious simulations, large calculting processing power that takes a normal computer a shit ton of a long time to run, and give precise & accurate probabilities. #Asteroid Calculations #Mars #Dinosaurs
